I am fairly new to Barre and have only taken one real class. Barre is a great toning and strength training workout where a ballet barre (or chair, countertop, etc.) and sometimes weights are used. If you’re doing it right and find the right workout, your muscles will be shaking and burning! Barre uses movements from Ballet and Pilates to help you develop long and lean muscles. I dream of one day taking a class Figure 4 or Physique 57 class. For now, when I’m in the mood for a Barre workout, I head to youtube (like I do for a variety of great, free yoga, Pilates and stretching videos.) Here are my favorite that I’ve tried out! You should totally give them a try but always be careful, watch your form and stay safe!
